Octogenarian Museveni continues to confirm his own statement that when one reaches the age of 75, they lose vigor. Previously, dictator Museveni had only one toilet in his convoy, but to everyone’s surprise, he has now acquired a second mobile toilet, seen as a white van in the convoy.
This development further demonstrates that HE. Bobi Wine has rattled every bone in his body. Due to old age, Museveni can no longer hold himself, and Uganda is now left facing embarrassment. This situation is comparable to how Salva Kiir embarrassed South Sudan when he urinated on himself at a public function. However, in Museveni’s case, critics warn that the embarrassment could be even worse if it happens publicly.
Museveni is now in his 80s and should be in retirement. When U.S. President Joe Biden became visibly frail and Americans feared he might embarrass the nation, he was advised to step aside and allow his Vice President, Kamala Harris, to contest. He accepted that advice. Museveni, however, refuses to retire.
Ironically, when Museveni first became president, he referred to past leaders as swine because they refused to relinquish power. Today, he has turned into the very thing he once condemned, just like Amin and Obote before him.
Therefore, as The Pearl of Africa News, we borrow Museveni’s own reference to leaders who refuse to leave power peacefully and do not hesitate to apply it to him as well. Ugandans fear that only death may save the country from the kind of national embarrassment witnessed in South Sudan.
