Bobi Wine

By Mbalire Brian Kisuule ll, (Your Daily Friend). The Pearl of Africa News Is Endorsing Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert (Bobi Wine)

With only days left before Ugandans head to the polls on 15th January 2026, the moment of national truth has arrived. The Pearl of Africa News believes it is our moral duty to clearly state where we stand. The Pearl of Africa News is endorsing Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert (Bobi Wine) as Uganda’s best hope for renewal. This comes after four decades of failure under dictator Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Ssekadde.

The Pearl of Africa News, endorsing Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert (Bobi Wine), recognizes that after nearly 40 years in power, Museveni’s rule has exhausted its excuses. He once promised democracy, stability, and prosperity. What Ugandans live with today is the opposite. It is a country rich in resources but poor in opportunity; a young population trapped in unemployment; hospitals without medicine; schools without teachers; and elections without credibility.

Uganda is blessed with fertile land, gold, oil, fresh water, tourism potential, and one of the youngest and most energetic populations in the world. Yet under Museveni, these national resources have been personalised. They have been captured by a small ruling elite and guarded by guns instead of laws. Public offices have become private property. The army has become political. Corruption has been normalised, and dissent criminalised.

Every election cycle follows the same script. It includes intimidation, arrests of opposition leaders, shutdowns of the internet, and ballot stuffing. Also, courts that lack independence play a role. Ugandans vote, but their will is repeatedly stolen. The cries of mothers, the tears of the youth, and the silence of the disappeared tell a painful story: enough is enough. The Pearl of Africa News is endorsing Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert (Bobi Wine) to change this narrative.

Worse still, Uganda now faces the dangerous drift toward family rule. The open political grooming of Museveni’s son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, is not just reckless. It is an insult to the sacrifices Ugandans have made for republican governance. Uganda is not a monarchy. Leadership must come from the people, not from bloodlines. Tyranny does not become acceptable simply because it is inherited.

Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu represents a different Uganda. He is not perfect, but he is authentic. He speaks the language of the people because he comes from them. He understands the pain of the ghetto, the frustration of the graduate without a job, and the fear of citizens living under constant state violence. His politics is rooted in accountability, the rule of law, and restoring dignity to public office. The Pearl of Africa News is endorsing him because he embodies the change Uganda needs.

Unlike Museveni, Kyagulanyi has consistently called for unity across tribes, regions, and religions. He does not see Baganda, Banyankole, Acholi, Iteso, Basoga, Bakiga, or Lugbara as rivals but as Ugandans. His vision is of a country where national resources serve all citizens, not a privileged few. It is where the army protects borders, not ballots, and where leadership is temporary and accountable.

We also call upon the international community, democratic governments, election observers, human rights organisations, and development partners to stand firmly with the people of Uganda. Silence in the face of electoral theft is complicity. Uganda does not need statements of concern after the fact. It needs vigilance now, so that the will of the people expressed on 15th January 2026 is respected.

Ugandans have cried for too long. They have buried too many hopes, sons, and daughters. This election is not just about changing a president. It is about ending a system of fear and restoring ownership of the country to its people.

For these reasons, The Pearl of Africa News endorses Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu for President of Uganda. The Pearl of Africa News is endorsing Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert (Bobi Wine) and we urge all Ugandans, regardless of tribe or background, to vote peacefully, bravely, and decisively. The future is calling and Uganda must answer.

Enough is enough. Uganda belongs to all of us.
