Minister of Youth, Gayi
The recent actions of Mr. Gayi, the Minister of Youth and a member of the Pretoria executive, have sent shockwaves through the Pearl of Africa Newsletter. It’s truly unthinkable that a minister within the very executive from which our newsletter’s ideology originates would attempt to undermine this crucial initiative.
A widely circulated audio on WhatsApp captured Mr. Gayi spitting venom, his anger clearly directed at our publication. His outrage stemmed from a recent article featuring Mr. Ssekamatte, who resigned last month as the chairman of Ugandans in Tembisa. Gayi was heard demanding to know why Ssekamatte’s story appeared in the newsletter.
