In the bustling metropolis of Pretoria, South Africa, A strong and Thriving community of Ugandans has taken root, creating a vital support network and a vibrant cultural hub.
While Ugandans are scattered across the diverse landscape of south Africa, The Pretoria Chapter stands out as the largest and most formally established, boasting over 2000 registered members. This dedicated group serves not only as a haven for Ugandans residing in the administrative capital and nearby cities but also welcomes compatriots from other South African locations, fostering a sense of Unity and shared Identity.
At the helm of this dynamic organization is Mr. Ssenkubuge George, the current chairperson and his executive which consist of 18 elected members. Elected by a majority of the community members in March 2024, Mr. Ssenkubuge brings a fresh wave of leadership and a mandate to further strengthen the community’s bonds and initiatives. His election reflects the democratic spirit within the organization, ensuring that the leadership is accountable to the needs and aspirations of it’s members.
